The Steve Fund has created interactive journals to help parents, families, and young people reflect on and support their mental health and emotional well-being. The journals below include information, creative exercises, mindfulness meditations, and more to provide insightful and fun ways for parents, caregivers, young people, siblings, and families to explore their mental health and create pathways to emotional well-being, open communication, and stronger relationships.

How to get started

These Journals and Guides were created as interactive Google Slides presentations. Follow these steps to open, save, and use your copy of each Journal. 

  1. For the best user experience, please use a computer with the Google Chrome browser.
  2. Click the links below to open the presentation.
  3. Save a copy to your Google Drive (File > Make a Copy). 
  4. Once saved, you will be able to type directly into your personal digital journal to follow the exercises. You will be able to customize the document, fonts, images and more.  
    1. Note: You must be signed into a Google account to make a copy.
  5. To zoom in or out to use the fields more easily, use the percent viewing field in the Slides toolbar. 
    1. Windows users: Press Control, Alt. and + or – at the same time.
    2. Mac users: Press Command, Option, and + or – at the same time.
